Smooth 'n Shine

This stuff is great! Lillydot graciously gave us the scoop on this leave-in product. There are two different versions the one pictured above and smooth n' shine Silk Fusion (it has more pink on the bottle). I can't tell the difference in the results. The tube states shake well, work thru wet hair, do not rinse. Use 1-2 times per week to prevent breakage. You can get it at Sally's for 99 cent if you have a Sally's card or 1.19 if you don't. Walmart and other drug stores have it for about 1.39. I love it because of the immediate shine it gives your hair, it conditions it without making my locs slip, and it just gives an overall softness to the feel of my hair. Because I color my hair, I was having concerns with brittle feeling locs, shea butter helped a little but I was afraid of build-up, plus the shea butter made my locs feel real tight and stiff.

I don't use it like is says on the tube, I mix about half a tube in a small spritz bottle with distilled water and I mist my hair after shampooing and about three times a week. So a tube lasts for about a month. Good product, doesn't build up, and cheap!

  2. Yes, Nubian give it a try, use more water than smooth n shine at first to see how it does on your hair. Don't want no unnecessary slippage!
