Proud of him, his family, what they represent. Hell, proud of us, we actually came together and showed strength in numbers!
Plus, he is darn good lookin. I love his Ebony cover. I know everyone has said this, but I never thought in my lifetime there would be a black president.
I think back on how proud I was when Nelson Mandela became president of a country that once held him prisoner. Now we have a president of a country that once held an entire race prisoners. The voting lines were long, and full of people with hope of a better tomorrow. In South Africa, the voting lines were also long, people died from the heat, walked for miles just to cast their vote. I never thought long lines would happen here, where we take our right to vote for granted.
Also the "bumpin knucks" thing that Barack and Michelle do is so cute! Ole skool.
