My daughter, the stylist still needs old mom to help her with her hair, mainly braiding. after bleaching her hair almost white (which I think looks good on her) she decided after 3 months to give it a rest for a while. Her hair grows so fast that it's a at least every month redoing the roots. It makes it easy to overlap the process and damage the hair. Plus the bleach relaxes the texture of her hair and too much of that can also break her hair off. She had about 2 1/2 inches of length to work with and this makes it easy to make smaller sections. The whole process took about 23 hours broken up over a 3 day time period.
I love using Marley hair because of the texture, and that it comes in strands that I separate into two and have even portions for each braid. It took 5 1/2 pack of hair and both of us working together, (I add the hair and braid down so far, then she finishes the braid and burns it off while I start the next one) it only cost about 30 dollars for a style that can last 6 months or more. Another good thing about this type hair is that you can wash your hair whenever you want because it doesn't slip or get matted looking. It looks better and more like your own hair the longer you leave it in. When I wore braids, I always used this because I could dye my roots, and latch the new growth and shampoo to my hearts content.
